Our stay at El Silencio del Campo was one of the best we've ever had. The cabins were lovely and spotlessly clean, the hot springs were quiet and gorgeous, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The food was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and we enjoyed two (!) tours of the garden where they grow food for the kitchen. We even got to check in a couple times on the sloth that's taken up residence in the gardens.
Highly memorable, and I hope we get to return!

We were surprised by the beautiful room, the hotel is wonderfully maintained, the pools and garden are beautiful. The best part was the service and the food. The different restaurants by the pool or the main restaurant had excellent variety, very good prices and everything was delicious. Great place for families!

The rooms are beautifully appointed and spacious and there's plenty of space between the individual chalets so it feels private. The highlight of the place for us was the hot springs which are fabulous and the farm. Our kids (aged 10) absolutely loved the animals and Alejandro (staff) took the time to tell us all about the animals and let the kids collect the eggs from the chickens every morning. The staff are super helpful, friendly and attentive and really make the place. It's a nice location out of the hustle and bustle of La Fortuna. The rooms are well cleaned and the covid protocols in the hotel made us feel safe. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We had some beautiful days at Silencio del campo. The rooms are beautiful and the bed is perfect. The whole staff is verry friendly and helpful. Reception is perfect. They booked us excellent trips. Highlights are: The spa part, the warm thermal pools and also the bar. Fine food and good wines at the restaurant. The view to the volcano is breathtaking. Thanks for the nice days at your hotel.

Their grounds are gorgeous and meticulous. The restaurant offers you a small, but wonderful breakfast of fresh fruits and delicious choice of offerings while dinners provide a very good and delectable choice of entrees. Rooms are in thir own separate 'cabanas'. And perhaps the most enjoyable part of our stay was, after a day of activity, we were able to return to the lovely gardens and enjoy the hot springs for a relaxing soak in the natural warm waters.

We found this spot on Trip Advisor and SO happy we did! The pictures do not do it justice — the rooms are way better in person both inside and out. Before we even arrived, the staff was so nice and helpful - especially at the farm where we got a tour, milked a cow and collected eggs for breakfast! speaking of, the food was delish!

The room was fantastic- really large and spacious and comfortable. The grounds were beautiful and there is a farm and the kids got to pick chicken eggs! There was a wonderful breakfast included and the staff were the most helpful.

Total agreement with past reviews on the cleanliness, charm, and comfort of the rooms and property. The hot springs are great and the real working farm offers a fantastically unique value that can't be found elsewhere in Arenal. Beyond just the milking of cows, our kids got to see how a real farm operates (at least how they operate outside the industrialized farming of the 1st world, where the treatment of animals is much better). In walking around the farm we got very up-close views of a mother & baby sloth (from about 15 feet -- better than we saw anywhere else in Arenal).

This boutique hotel is absolutely charming. The cottages are clean and comfortable, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the hot spring pools and the grounds are extremely well maintained. There is even a little farm where you can milk a cow or collect eggs if you want to. Peacocks and other birds wander freely. You can see the volcano perfectly. Highly recommended.
